Dust Bowl Spring in the Yukon

Spring in the Yukon is a mini dust bowl . In the winter instead of using salts on the road ,we have dirt scattered for good traction . It does make good dust devils(mini whirlwinds) when the spring winds kick up. Good equipment for spring attire is sunglasses or goggles, a head covering to keep the dirt out of your scalp and a package of handiwipes .

The dirt flies so freely not even a good street cleaner can trap all the street dirt but it only last less than a month. I pray for a good rain in the spring to wash away the dust off everything.
