How Non- Cancer People Re-Act to Cancer People

I like to play poker online,fake money of course. After I was diagnosed with cancer I made a player name to use that said "IhaveCancer2". I created it to see how people responded to it.

This will be a ongoing blog to show the positive and negative of people and their verbal reactions to my player name. So far I have used it once but got these responses from fellow card players.

1. You be ashamed of yourself having that name
2. You shouldn't advertised your illness
3. You should keep that information private
4. My aunt has cancer but we keep that to ourselves(well duh ,didn't they just share it with a whole table of people?)


Adding this part because of a reaction in Whitehorse.

It seems if you are a female and bald one from chemo ,going shopping isn't all the fun . I wore a
scarf that I made into a triangle to wear over my bald head .
I was walking towards the entrance of a local store and it was windy that day , well the scarf flew off and a young boy with his father started laughing at me, the dad chuckled. The Idiot!
I retrieved the scarf and just went back to my car . Not sure if I wanted to cry or stay mad .I didn't cry but I was mad at the stupidity of people .What do we have to do ..wear a sign on our back that says*I am bald from chemotherapy*. I wore tighter hats after that
