As I have been recently diagnosed with breast cancer , I like many ,look to the internet for information. It isn't always wise to depend on information on the internet but some of it isn't too bad . I was searching mostly for personal stories on how other women have coped with this form of cancer.
Some websites were very well written and very helpful,others made me laugh because they put the humour into the way they deal with thier personal cancer diease.
Regardless of how or why I seem to get breast cancer ,you cannot stop smiling or laughing.When you do you're starting to let the cancer win.
I rather laugh than sit around and boo hoo about having cancer. It may end my life but I may end it's(the cancer) life in me.
So after I found all the info I needed on this little pest in me ,I went searching for something more I needed . Helpful information for my every day life.
I will be having a mastectomy this coming friday ,february 1st(late posting this,lol). With that in mind I will be shopping for a fake breast but being a person that likes making things I did a search on how to make a fake breast .
There is the standard bird seed breast ,simple to make :
Bird Seed Breast Form
Birdseed has the right weight and consistency to make breasts - if you don't mind the risk of being savaged by hungry birds. Cut the feet off an old pair of stockings, then fill each foot with small bird seed (not sunflower seeds). Keep adding seed till the size of the breast is right.
(Not sure about this one as I think it would be itchy ,but also being called a Seedy Person comes to mind
)
Condom Breast Form
Condoms filled with water and them knotted work well,
it takes some practice to get the correct size for your bra but they pass very very well in public.
(gives a new meaning to using protection..not for me
)
Nerf Ball Breast Form
Nerf Ball cut in half, you can get them from 3 to 10 inches. And they look round, form to a bra, and do not have all the weight that water has. ..(passing on this one
)
A friend in Virgina offered to whittle me a breast ,don't care if he's a excellent carver .. I'll still pass on that offer
There are many things you can use to make breast forms but after seeing these easy to make I think I'll just use the commercial made breast forms.
